Introduction into the Elements

* * * The Elements in Astrology * * *

Okay, so before we can really get into compatibility it is so important you understand the elements and not just your own Sun Sign element. By doing this you will have a better understanding of Astrology in the most simple basic way and learn how to get it to work for you.

Now this is just the introduction i will be posting up individual Videos/Blogs going into each element and talking about which Element is compatible with which, which are okay and which should be cautioned.

In the series straight after i will discuss more into Mutable, Fixed and cardinal Signs and how to apply that layer when looking at compatibility then i will move onto the Signs and Compatibility remember these are layers your chart will add more on top of this.

I must state that you can use the elements when looking at your chart and seeing which element you lack in your chart also, this can help you better understand you. Please note that compatibility is not only through Sun sign, but through element and not only comparing Sun sign compatibility but your Moon, Venus and Mars placements also.

You see compatibility depends on so many factors and not just your Sun Sign - Astrology is complex but a good tool you can use in understanding in a mundane way anyone can grasp is by using the Elements.

The Elements are Water, Air, Earth and Fire. Water being Pisces, Scorpio and Cancer. Air being Aquarius, Libra and Gemini. Earth being Capricorn, Virgo and Taurus. Lastly Fire Sagittarius, Leo and Aries.

You might be wondering why Water is the first and why i have gone through everything in a what seems a backward fashion and its not because i am a water sign.

It’s because everything starts with water, at least if you want to do it the right way it does. Without going off on too much of a tangient it depends on you… & What you want!

Think of a party (Debra Silverman gives a great analogy) Do you get over excited, you see someone you like and rush in and DO something about it (have sex), later talk/ask more and realise that you have nothing in common you didn’t think before you acted and then feel terrible after it all happened.

Or the proper way you go to a Party - You Drink/feel things out, you see that person and then you strike up conversation, you then decide to maybe exchange numbers and set a date to do something together then after that date you see if there is enough FIRE to create and start something… and the Cycle continues.

Life didnt just happen it started from a feeling within a thought that lead to thinking that lead to doing that lead to creating it. That’s the order of the Elements.

Hence why the wised sign is Pisces and the most impulsive sign is Aries. But we will get into all this over the next few weeks.

Moon has just gone into Virgo ready for the Full Moon on the 5th March around 6pm. Considering the Moon in Virgo we have what’s known as an opposition which causes a tug of war effect when it comes to our emotions and what we ultimately want.

The Next few days will be somewhat intense on either scale of actual intense feelings or of a happier stance. Yet there is a huge push to do, act and change the way you act and think about things. Moon opposite Neptune can mean you need to see things differently change your perception change your reality.

Virgo’s are the ones that tend to jump to the negative side of things, they call it preparing for the worst, being practical, i’m the opposite being a pisces but the thing with a Virgo is they are good at getting to the bottom of things into the tiny details. But with the Sun in Pisces you really will need to find a happy medium, change the way you look at things and see that actually something is being illuminated, we need to look at this and see what emotions are being revealed as Pluto is still working it’s influence.

Today there will be lots surfacing, changes and sudden things taking place out of nowhere. Maybe your changing or seeing things a little differently. But what we will come to realise is that these emotions, usually i’d see them as a new feeling/emotion a change of heart perhaps and it’s not time now to sit on them but to express it and take action.

When it comes to relationships i think there is much to gain, if we change or see things differently yet at the very same time some how relationships are feeling complicated maybe it’s with these new revelations.

Love, feeling, emotions & all things unexpected are expanding… you will see more of this over the coming weeks as well. When it comes to passion things are just getting better and more intense and at the very same time there is a word of caution, be it that Venus squares Pluto the planet of transformation, death, rebirth. I think it could still be all about putting old ways/habits/beliefs to bed and changing the way you think about things.

New Doors opening, old ones closing look for a hidden agenda, seeing clearly and truths being shown also… you want to be free and attached at the same time be careful of old jealous traits.

A Moon in virgo is about cleaning, haha not the traditional kind although it can, i see it more as clearing out all that no longer serves you, emotions, baggage, old thoughts and patterns it’s a time to cleanse and let go.

The last thing i will add is that today you could feel like someone is trying to control you, there could be some confrontations arise, and it’s highlighting something that had happened before in the past coming back… It’s time to end old Karmic cycles, and let it go and really start to piece together what it is that you do want i think this will make more sense over the coming 2 weeks.
